Management bodies

  1. Management bodies of the Center for Education and Life Long Learning – C.E.L.L.L. of the Hellenic Mediterranean University are:

    a) The Council of C.E.L.L.L.,
    b) The President of the Council of C.E.L.L.L.

  2. By decision of the Senate, the Council of C.E.L.L.L. is established, which consists of the Rector or one (1) of the Vice-Rectors, to whom the area of Life Long Learning is assigned, as its President, and one (1) representative from each School of the University, after a proposal by the Dean’s Office. With the same decision of the Dean’s Office, the substitute representative of the School in the Council is also appointed.
  3. As members of the Council of C.E.L.L.L. are appointed members, by priority of the rank of Professor or Associate Professor, who preferably have educational experience, but also experience in organizing and providing educational and training programs for life-long education, as well as planning, administration and project management. The members of the Council represent, as far as possible, the scientific disciplines treated by the University. The members of the Council of C.E.L.L.L. are appointed for a period of three years.
  4. A Director of Education is also appointed at C.E.L.L.L., by decision of the Senate, following a public invitation to the academic community of HMU, which is expedited by the Rector. As a Director of Education may be designated a member of the Teaching Research Staff, Special Educational Staff or Laboratory Teaching Staff of the University with experience in planning, the implementation or evaluation of education and training projects. The Director of Education participates in the Council of C.E.L.L.L. without the right to vote and is not entitled to additional remuneration or compensation for the performance of his duties. His term of office is parallel to that of the Center Council.
  5. The Council meets at regular intervals at the invitation of its President. Meetings can be held in person, by video conference or in a mixed manner. A quorum exists when there are more members present than absent. In case of a tie, the vote of the President prevails. The minutes of the meetings are kept in electronic form under the responsibility of the chairman in cooperation with the employee entrusted with the administrative support of the Center.
